Let's Play CATCH UP!

First off let's Play Catch Up! This Blog is about 4 Hunks Dad, John Dennison, Sons, Dustin (18), Brandon (16), Drew (8), and 1 Chick Mom, Michelle.  This is mainly for our family so when we are old and in our rocking chairs we can look back and see what a Rip-Roaring Time we really had!

Obviously I can't go back and re-create 22 years which is how long John and I have been married. So I am thinking about  Starting this year 2011.  So far this year it has been crazy busy!  John decided to make a career change and started a new job.  No he doesn't have a new Harley or a sports car so I don't think it was a Mid-life crisis.  Besides I have already told him that he took so long to grow up that he isn't allowed to have one... haha we will see how that goes.  John used to sell RV's and now he is selling Heating and Cooling so if you need either... Give him a Call and he will set you up!

John is an avid weight-lifter and pretty dang good if I may Brag on my Hunk of a Husband... My Humble Hunky Husband.. He has set world records but this is no big deal to him and he would never mention it.  He also has a security business that he does venues for concerts, big gatherings, etc.

Dustin won the All Star Match in wrestling in January (which means he is the best wrestler in the state in his weight Division) Pretty Big Deal since at State you only wrestle against those in your Division example 1&2A, 3A, 4A, 5A.  Dustin pinned his kid and helped the 5A Team win against all the other schools making the 5A Wrestling Dominate in the State.

In February Dustin took State in 215 lb weight division for the Second Time!  Our Team THE PLEASANT GROVE VIKINGS also went on to take State as a Team! Dustin is also one of the captains of the wrestling team and all year they focused on "Every Point Matters" as last year they were beat by one point at State.  Everyone made sure this did not happen this year!   The coach from ASU (Arizona State University) came up to watch Dustin wrestle and Dustin went to ASU in March on a recruiting Trip.  ASU took 6th in the Nation at Nationals there and the Coaches and team are Awesome!  Dustin loved their wrestling program and was offered a wrestling scholarship and the National Letter of Intent is still sitting on our piano in the front room.  What A Hunk!  Huh!

Dustin turned 18 a few days after State, went to Sweethearts, In April he traveled to Virgina Beach for a week to compete in Senior Nationals.  We found out that you can't take a month break and then go wrestle... Our bad! Though he and Garrett had a blast.

In May Dustin is still deciding on colleges and getting ready for Graduation! Busy Hunk!

Brandon is our straight A Hunk!  He wont go to bed until all of his homework is done... He will miss whatever he has to, to make sure he is prepared.  Yes he was the Hunky Nerd seen studying all through State last year... But this year it was a different story and Brandon (Who doesn't necessarily LOVE Wrestling but it forced to by his Hunk Dad and Chick of a Mom).  This Year, The Hunk that is known as Brandon decided to be the Viking he is and took 4th in the 189 Weight Class!  As a Sophomore in this higher weight class it is amazing!

Brandon then went to The Sweetheart Ball days after State.  The Chick  (me) put together a Wrestling Group and I think they had so much fun.... These boys become brothers and their date consisted of a Friday Night going to the Basketball Game where Dustin performed at half time with the Drill Team.  They did an 80's dance so fun!  After it was on to a place that had everything  you wanted to do and the kids favorite was playing dodge ball...  They stayed late and then got up early to go to Soldier H0llow to go Tubing.   Then a break to get ready.  Then a photo Shoot, Dinner, and Dance.  I think everyone had a great time

In April Brandon Ran for Student Body - Assemblies... This ended up in defeat and sadness was felt. Also disappointed with the way they vote.. On line not a great way to get everyone to vote... Less than half the school voted. Seniors didn't know they could vote... Hello Dustin is a Senior but was also in Virgina when this was going on... Just not handled very well!

Brandon has also discovered girls and dating.. He is so much fun to have around and I can always count on him.

Hunky Drew!  IS Everyone's Joy!  He makes us all smile... Though is is the Baby of the Hunks he still holds his own in a house full of Hunkiness!  Drew is 8 baptised and ready to make great choices in his life.  Drew is a great listener and he takes everything in absolutely everything.  Which is great because if anyone forgets anything Drew is like a tape recorder.

Drew is like the Mascot for the Pleasant Grove Vikings!  In High School the Football Team and the Wrestling Team can never get enough our our Baby Hunk Drew/Drewbie/or better known as Baby Drew.  We never knew that as we called Drew, -  Baby Drew that by age eight would be 135 pounds and as tall as Junior High Students.  So it is even funner to have the name Baby Drew.

Drew is in second grade this year, he has struggled in reading because we are all to busy to read with Drew and basically we all get big L's on our foreheads.  Good thing that I have absolutely amazing friends.  And a great friend Kim Court even though she has 4 kids, a husband that is a bishop, and is going to school fulltime at BYU, she took it on herself for  Drew to come over twice a week and Kim would read with him, do spelling I love this woman!  Drew would them play with Kim's Kids and my good friend Carrie's Kids... They have always had a special bond since we used to all be neighbors but they moved when Drew was first born yet they still feel like their cousins!  I love that because we don't have much family. Aunt Jilane takes Baby Drew to Kim's and also takes and picks him up from school everyday.  What we do with out his second mom Jilane her girls Kenedee and Brooklynn have also taken Drew under their wing.  Drew goes to the Harmons for day care well it started out as Daycare now Marcie won't even take money for Drew to come there!  They are like his second family So BLESSED to have so many Angles in Drew and the Dennison's Life!

Drew loves to play Football and as a Hunk is totally Domination for sure!

The Chick That is me, Michelle My life is super crazy but totally awesome!  I wouldn't change anything unless I won the lottery then I would quit my job and stay home with my kids... But as far as jobs go I got a great one so I am not complaining at all!  I started a new Job in Nov 2011.  I am not having a mid-life crisis either... I had to get a new job as my last job at Quality RV ended when they sold out.  My new job is filled with Amazing really, really GOOD people... I couldn't ask for better people to work with.  I am the controller at MVi (Millennial Vision, Inc) in Salt Lake City.  Yes the drive is an hour each way but I use this time wisely.  I either listen to books on tapes I have listened to about 16 books since November.  Other times I take care of business on the phone
which is either my second job yes I know being gone for 11 hours a day with my first job isn't enough I need to throw in a second job.

I am also the 2nd Councilor in the Young Women's What a blessing!  I have 32 Wonderful, Sweet, Beehives the number is actually down from January since some have moved on to Mia-maids which I am not happy about but we will be getting more in and I think 22 beehives is perfect so I took it from two classes and put it back to one. It is hard to keep track of 2 classes when they do different activities.  I am also so lucky to have the best advisers Jilane Bodily, Michelle Allen, Sue Holdaway,  We have so much fun working together and we all love and care about the girls so much... I love working with Karen VanUitert, YW Pres and Jody Tippets 1st Counselor,  They are amazing women and I want to be more like them.

Also during these past 5 months, I have put on a pretty amazing New Beginnings with a Fashion Shoe Theme, Pulled off Sweethearts and Prom for the Hunks... You know I can't help but run the show... The hunks sometimes have a hard time doing this stuff and besides that I Love the Kids and Love doing it for them!  I also was in charge of Concessions for Wrestling for Region which was a huge under-going and then we did Concessions one more time during a tournament we hosted.  This was much easier as we had the kitchen and my great friends Marlo and Kristy took over.

I have Bunko once a month with a group of Chicks that I call my Best Friends in the WORLD~Love them all! and you will hear about them a lot when I write.

The past few months have been some of the hardest for me as my oldest Hunk Dustin is going to graduate from High School this year.  The problems are great problems to have but not easy non-the less.  We would love Dustin to get to wrestle for ASU but when we received the National Letter of Intent for Dustin to Sign with ASU.  They only offered him a 15% scholarship.  We understand that nation wide wrestling can only offer 9.9 scholarships per team so that is 9.9 to be spread among 34 wrestlers.  It makes sense that the seniors and Juniors would get most of that money.  ASU want to take Dustin on and red-shirt him as they do all of their freshman.  Have him go on his mission. Come back and wrestle Heavy Weight.  We would love this too... As the Dennison Family goals are for Dustin to become a NCAA National Champ and of course go to the Olympics and Kick Every one's Trash!  We know that ASU is the place to start to make this a reality.

Everything that is great though comes with it's own set of problems.  ASU is 50,000.00 A year, yes you heard right 50K A YEAR, Dustin is out of state so it is really expensive so the 15% didn't make much of a dent.  I have spent the past two months putting in for every type of tribal scholarship I can come up with but nothing has went through we make to much money... Really we don't but if you make more than 20K a year then you are out.  Sucks to be middle class huh.   Anyway He has had offers all over the U.S. and my emotions have been everywhere...

We met with the Wrestling Coach at UVU this week which brings me to our current status... Dustin can walk-on their and will be part of the UVU Wrestling Team.  They are still Division I and he will be able to stay at home one more year before his mission.  I have actually in the past 2 days started to get stuff done... I feel like I have been in a world of Dilemma and now I think we know that Dustin is going to go to UVU we even have him signed up for classes.  My heart feels so much better to know what we are doing and I love having my Hunk of a Son for one more year.

Today is Friday May 27th, Kennedee Bodily's BD, Dropped Drew off at Jilanes and drove to work listening to the Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest Set of 3 books this is the last book and I am on the last 2 hours I will finish it today.. It is so good.  Started this blog... Looking forward to Memorial Weekend.  Haven't made any big plans since it is suppose to rain all weekend.  I am hoping to get a lot  done on my second job Quality RV, Start working on the Graduation Party Jilane and I are throwing for Dustin and Brock at my Wonderful Aunt Kathy's house on Thursday June 2nd.  Maybe even throw in putting in for a scholarship...  Also tempt the hunks Dustin and Brandon to look for a job... Gas is expensive!
